We're planting a tree for every truck we sell
Our Carbon Neutral commitment
A key element of our environmental strategy moving forward is our pledge to plant a tree for every truck we sell. This is an additional measure to the carbon offsetting work that’s required as part of our Carbon Neutral commitment. To help us co-ordinate this activity we have partnered with Ground Control who will support us with the physical planting of trees throughout the UK.

Our ambition, our vision
Our overall ambition and vision is to contribute a significant amount of natural habitat and rewilding, ensuring adequate space for wildlife to flourish and communities to thrive. This campaign and our wider environmental commitments will guarantee that this ambition becomes a reality.
Briggs Equipment’s Group Managing Director, Pete Jones, commented on the significance of this scheme and the important role customers can play moving forward.
“The launch of our ‘plant a tree’ campaign is unique in our industry and demonstrates how we’re prepared to keep going the extra mile in terms of our environmental commitment. As part of our Carbon Neutral status, we are already offsetting all of our carbon emissions, but this initiative goes over and beyond that work and will enable us to make a significant annual contribution to the UK environment. Based on our 2020 performance, we’re looking at thousands of trees planted on an annual basis.
“We’re extremely excited about involving our customers in our sustainability journey and by investing in our equipment they are have a direct and positive impact on the environment. We will continue to work closely with our customers to help identify areas in which we can contribute towards their own environmental goals and objectives.”
This initiative includes all new equipment sales from across the main Briggs Equipment product groups, including but not limited to, Forklifts, Access Equipment, Cleaning Machines, Big Trucks and Rough Terrain Machines.
