Briggs Equipment delivers new equipment to paper specialists

INTRODUCTION

Brown Brothers Group have been a key supplier of paper products to a wide range of industries and businesses across the United Kingdom since 1920. They have evolved their business from a single, major supplier of materials for the manufacture of rigid boxes, to a diverse group of companies with sites across the country.

SITUATION

To help improve efficiency and productivity within their warehouse environment, Brown Brothers Group required an industrial equipment solution to help transport and offload paper products and feed their on-site paper machine.

SOLUTION

Having met with the Brown Brothers Group Management Team at their Huyton site, Briggs put together a proposal using previous experience of supplying equipment to the paper industry and a detailed understanding of their specific requirements. The solution included a 3-wheel Yale counterbalance forklift fitted with a Bolzoni Auramo paper roll clamp, a Yale Pedestrian Stacker and a trailer ramp.

The 3-wheel truck would provide greater manoeuvrability when compared with their existing four wheel forklift and crucially it didn’t compromise on performance.

ACTION

The agreement was put in place in April 2021, with all equipment successfully delivered by January 2022. Briggs will continue to monitor the performance of the new trucks with regular visits to ensure Brown Brothers are getting the most out of their new equipment and any additional requirements are met.

RESULT

“We are delighted with the new equipment delivered by Briggs. Chris and team worked exceptionally hard to meet our requirements and the trucks have fitted seamlessly into our operation. The counterbalance truck in particular has been a revelation and is one of the best pieces of kit we’ve ever purchased given its manoeuvrability and functionality.”
