Introduction:
Indespension are the UK’s only nationwide trailer supplier for new & used trailers, trailer parts & tow bar fitting. Since 1968, Indespension has grown to be one of the leading manufacturers, retailers and resellers of trailer and towing products across the globe.
Situation:
Long term Briggs customer, Indespension, required an improvement to their existing on-site safety standards. To help meet this requirement, the Indespension team worked collaboratively with their existing equipment partners, Briggs, to identify the best solution for their requirements. Following site and fleet evaluations, new illuminated vehicle livery and lighting for Indespension’s existing forklift trucks was agreed.
Solution:
Through a series of distinctive reflective panels fitted to the side and rear of the trucks, the illuminated livery greatly enhances the visibility of Indespension’s forklifts during and post operation. Sections of the panels are also designed to flash and pulse to provide added visual awareness.
In addition to the livery, Indespension also opted for the safety lighting option for their trucks, which projects a bright blue light on the floor to provide pedestrians with a clear warning that a forklift truck is operating in the area. By clearly highlighting the ‘no-go zone’ that surrounds a forklift, the lighting will help prevent injuries and avoid collisions with other vehicles on site.
Action:
In partnership with our customers, we are constantly reviewing our equipment and the environments they operate in to assess the potential for any safety improvements. This installation at Indespension is a glowing example of that collaborative approach and we are delighted with the positive impact that these new products are delivering to their business.
Result:
