Briggs Equipment extends sponsorship of BTCC star Árón Taylor-Smith

Briggs Equipment is delighted to announce the renewal of its sponsorship of Árón Taylor-Smith for the upcoming 2022 British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). Árón remains the only Irish driver to win a race in the championship in the last thirty years and is looking to build on a series of impressive performances and consistent progress during the 2021 season.

As part of the new agreement, Briggs will enjoy a number of additional benefits including prominent branding across the car, garage, race suit and promotional team clothing. There are also additional opportunities for Briggs customers to experience behind the scenes access at race weekends and exclusive events with Árón including; workshop tours, hot laps, a racing simulation day and much more.

The entire championship will be covered comprehensively on TV and online, providing an excellent platform to showcase the Briggs brand. ITV will have live coverage of the events, allowing you to watch Árón live once again in enthralling, fast paced British Touring Cars action.

Leigh Edgley, Briggs Equipment’s Group Sales and Marketing Director, commented: “We are extremely pleased to announce our continued support of Árón and the team for the upcoming BTCC season. This is much more than a sponsorship agreement and from day one of our partnership Árón has embodied our values and engaged fully with our business.

“The BTCC attracts a global audience each weekend and it’s been fantastic to see the Briggs Equipment brand in the spotlight throughout the 2021 season and the extensive coverage has helped us increase the awareness of our brand.  This new agreement will deliver even more behind the scenes access to Árón and the team, providing an unrivalled insight into how an elite motorsport team prepares for race day.

“Everyone at Briggs would like to wish Árón all the very best for the upcoming season and we just can’t wait for the season to start!”

Árón Taylor-Smith, commented: “I am over the moon to get the opportunity to continue representing Briggs Equipment in the 2022 British Touring Car Championship. It’s a partnership that I am enormously proud of as we were able to achieve great things together both on and off the track in 2021, and we have even more planned for this coming season.

“I absolutely love representing Briggs Equipment as their business ethos is perfectly matched with my motorsport programme. It was brilliant to welcome both staff and customers alike throughout last season as they were all equally as passionate as I am about the BTCC.

“The 2022 season is set to be even better with the introduction of the Hybrid era. Throughout last season the Cupra chassis improved from one weekend to the next and I’m excited to see what we can achieve moving forward.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every person from Briggs Equipment for their continued support as without their backing I simply wouldn’t be able to go racing.”
