Briggs sponsored driver Árón Taylor Smith hoping for fast start as BTCC season gets underway!

Touring Car fans will be celebrating this weekend as the highly anticipated 2021 British Touring Cars Championship season gets under way at Thruxton Motorsport Centre.

Briggs Equipment is proud to be sponsoring driver Árón Taylor-Smith for the upcoming season and as part of the agreement Briggs branding will feature prominently on Árón Cupra Leon car, racing suit and support team clothing. Árón is the only Irish driver to win a race in the championship in the last thirty years and is making a return to the competition this year with his eyes set on adding to this tally.

Everyone at Briggs Equipment would like to wish Árón all the best for the 2021 campaign and we’re sure he’ll have lots to celebrate come the final event!

The view from the garage:

Briggs Equipment’s Sponsored Driver, Árón Taylor-Smith, spoke about his ambitions for the season ahead and what it means to be back racing on the BTCC circuit.

“There’s a real sense of opportunity and excitement on the eve of the season and the whole team is focused on executing our skills and delivering on race day. Preparation has been excellent and we’re in good shape heading into Thruxton. It’s a massive honour to be back racing in the BTCC and I now just can’t wait for the action to get underway.

“I’d like to thank Briggs Equipment for their support in sponsoring me this season and make sure to look out for plenty of behind the scenes content on our social media channels.”
