Briggs take part in International Women’s Day 2022

Briggs Equipment is celebrating International Women’s Day to recognise the importance of the globally acknowledged day and the theme for 2022, which is #BreakTheBias. #BreakTheBias encourages us all to address bias in the workplace and our wider communities. To #BreakTheBias is to actively call out gender bias, discrimination and stereotyping whenever or wherever you may see it.

Occurring for well over a century, International Women’s Day takes place annually on March 8th, and is a celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also serves as a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.

Alison Field, Group HR Director, commented “It was really important for us to recognise International Women’s Day as 20% of our workforce are women. We approached all women that work for Briggs to ask if they wanted to take part in the video, and I was delighted with the positive response we received and how many people were keen to get involved.

“Working on initiatives like this makes me extremely proud to be part of Briggs and it’s great to see the impact women are making across the business in various roles and disciplines. I am very pleased with the video we have put together and I hope you enjoy it.”

Rosie Leach, HR Business Partner at Briggs, commented “I was thrilled to be involved with coordinating and assisting with the International Women’s Day video. It was very rewarding to work with inspirational women from all over the business, to ensure visibility of women’s achievements as well as this important day and everything it represents.”
