Following on from their title sponsorship of the Briggs Equipment North West 200, Briggs have been confirmed as official Commercial Vehicle Partner of the iconic road racing festival for another year.
Alongside its sister company Balloo Hire, Briggs Equipment has established a strong relationship with the NW200 over the last decade, sponsoring riders, races, and now the event itself. This commercial vehicle partnership follows that trend and further demonstrates Briggs Equipment’s growth as a supplier of top quality vans, pickups, welfare vehicles, and more.
“I’m very happy to announce the extension of this commercial vehicle partnership for another year,” said NW200 Race Director, Mervyn Whyte. “We’ve worked very closely with Briggs for the last number of years and they’ve been critical in helping us meet the ever-increasing demands of organising Ireland’s largest motorcycle racing event.
“The vehicles supplied by Briggs last year – vans, pickups, dropsides and more were vital for managing course setup, safety, and rider recovery. The event couldn’t take place without these vehicles, so we’re delighted that our headline sponsor can continue to be our partner in this regard.”
Nicola Weir, Business Development Manager for Commercial Vehicle Hire at Briggs Equipment, stressed the importance of the agreement to this expanding division of the business.
It’s been very busy since Briggs moved into commercial vehicle hire early last year and obviously having some of our fleet at the North West 200 in 2025 was great exposure for us,” said Nicola.
At the event, our vehicles were used for everything from course management and branding to health and safety. It’s fantastic to be able to help Mervyn and his team because we know and appreciate how much work goes into staging the NW200. It’s a huge undertaking.
From a personal point of view, it’s also exciting to be involved with the NW200. I’ve grown up watching it on TV or standing along the course and there really is nothing like it. The love of road racing here is unique and when you see it up close, it’s no wonder. I’m just glad to be a spectator!
This year, we will supply a bigger range of commercial vehicles including small Toyota Proace vans, long and medium wheelbase Ford and Iveco panel vans, Renault Trafic crew cabs, and double cab dropsides.
